YSL La Laque Couture Jade Imperial
This was a Spring 2013 release, but only a measly 10 bottles made it to our shores. Even in the US, it was all soldout within days, and some are asking for double its retail price on ebay. When the last 10 bottles snuck their way back here last weekend, I speed-dialed my latest bff at TANGS. Ladies & gents, let me introduce you to my latest crush - YSL La Laque Couture Jade Imperial!!
Many people have attempted to describe the color, and given how limited supply is, there has been numerous attempts at finding a dupe for Jade. However, in my opinion, there is just no replacement out there. This is not a mint green, nor a moss green. It is quite simply, jade green! There are hints of grey and yellow that do not lend themselves well to photography. I have yet to see a photo swatch that is 100% accurate. The one I have here is close, but still not quite there.
In terms of formula, all i’m going to say is, I had no problems applying this, which is saying a whole lot as i’m a complete klutz with nail polishes in general! I loved the wide brush with stiff bristles, 2 swipes and i’ve got a nail covered!
UPDATE: After wearing Jade for 3 days now, I can happily say that this polish stands the test of time, which is a big yay for busy women like me who can’t be bothered with changing up my polish every day!
Now, will the real jade please stand up!
