Introducing the new Lancôme Blanc Miracle Bright-Light Creator Foundation

Spring is in the air these days, and as we progress into February, I am looking forward to all the new Asia-exclusive Spring collections that are launching soon! I was very blessed to have been gifted with a sample bottle of Lancôme’s newly reformulated Blanc Miracle Foundation, and have enjoyed it so much that I found myself reaching for it almost on a daily basis!

Since its initial launch in 2011, Lancôme’s Blanc Miracle foundation has been known for its Aura-brightening radiance and all-day wear. The latest formulation surpasses the previous whitening function with an all-new SPF50 PA++ protection. It also uses an advanced Pollusafe™ technology to protect skin from environmental pollutants. I was really surprised when I saw the rating as I have yet to encounter a foundation with such high sun protection (most foundations from the Western world still carry only SPF15 or SPF25 at best)!

Even more amazing was the lovely lightweight fluid texture that feels perfectly natural and remains comfortable throughout my long days. This is achieved using an innovative Ultra-Fit technology which creates an imperceptibly fine film on the skin, and state-of-the-art micro-fillers for perfect coverage. On me, it feels perfectly comfortable all-day, incredibly light and smooth.

The texture is quite runny, so a small amount can be easily spread all over the face, making it easy to build up coverage gradually. Once on the skin, it stays workable for a sufficient period before drying down to a luminous matte finish. Similar to Shu Uemura’s Lightbulb foundation, Blanc Miracle has an instant brightening effect. This is a result of specific chroma technology and a combination of fine pearls with a soft-focus effect to bring a healthy, translucent look. Where the 2 differed, is Blanc Miracle is ultimately more matte whereas Lightbulb has a glossy finish. Personally, I find it quite similar to Guerlain’s Tenue de Perfection except the latter has a slightly thicker texture (Blanc Miracle is runnier) and a velvety finish.

On my oily combination skin, Blanc Miracle stays on perfectly matte without any hint of shine all day. I did notice some slight fading after about 9 hours, which is resolvable with a quick powder touch-up. I am very grateful that Lancome had also provided me with a sample of their Maqui Blanc Miracle compact powder foundation, which I find pairs perfectly with the fluid foundation.

The new Lancôme Blanc Miracle Bright-Light Creator Fluid Foundation will be available for purchase from February 2014, and retails for SGD72 for 30ml. To celebrate this launch, Lancome has collaborated with Swarovski to produce an exclusive limited-edition jewel case for the Blanc Miracle compact foundation which is complimentary for every 2 refills purchased (SGD65 each).
