Dior Vernis #585 Poppy Pink

Happy Mani-Monday, my loves! I’m very excited today to be able to give you a preview of something special that is launching very soon! Every Spring, Dior releases a very special collection just for the Japanese market, and this year we will be launching them in May at Dior Backstage Boutiques in Singapore! I have a few items from the collection to show you, starting with 1 of the 2 nail polishes - Dior Vernis #585 Poppy Pink!

Dior Vernis #585 Poppy Pink is an interesting shade that is completely beguiling inspite of its name. It is a medium warm-toned mauve that pulls slightly caramel against my skin tone. It is one of those lovely cream formulas that I simply adore from Dior, and is nicely opaque in 2 coats.

The swatch above is 2 coats with 1 base coat, and no top coat. The finish is not as shiny as I like, and I find that adding Dior’s Gel Coat over helped to level out the polish and give it a more professional finish as you can see from the swatch below.

Dior Vernis 585 Poppy Pink is neither an eye-popping hue nor pink. If I were to decide simply based on name, I’d have thought this to be a fuchsia or neon pink of some sort. Thankfully, it is a very classy and elegant mauve that is very wearable for all occasions. Dior Vernis 585 Poppy Pink is limited edition and will be out at Dior Backstage Boutiques in May!
