I’m always excited by Shu Uemura’s designer collaborations, and the latest KYE for Shu Uemura collection is no exception. Featuring Kathleen Kye’s trademark illustrations and cool Korea-inspired makeup products, the new collection is full of fun for any beautyjunkie. Seriously, if Shu Uemura produces charms out of all their quirky limited edition illustrations, I would totally collect them all!

I was recently reminded in a conversation with a friend that there are different phases of our lives, each with its own distinctive milestones. And part of my love for fragrances stems from their ability to mark those milestones, bringing back memories of the highs and lows that make us such unique individuals. When I was asked if I’d like to review the latest summer release from Issey Miyake, I smiled a secret smile because this was one of my first loves and marked the beginning of womanhood for me. Naturally, my answer was a definitive yes, and I’d love to share both the fragrance with you today as well as a little tale that L’Eau d’Issey has reminded me of…

Ever since these poppies showed up at my doorstep, I’ve been hearing the tune of “Love is in the Air” in a constant loop in my head, replaced by the words “Flowers in the air…” like a recurring television advertisement. This summer, Kenzo has taken inspiration from Yayoi Kusama’s dotted pop art, and created a series of red poppy prints and animations, spreading all over the world. The playfulness of the red poppy underscores the joy and sparkling vitality of the new limited edition FlowerbyKenzo & Flower In The Air Eau Florale EDT!

I am rounding up my coverage of Chanel’s Summer 2016 Dans La Lumiere de L’Ete collection, and today’s focus is on the spicy Le Vernis Culte that are part of the collection. There are 5 in the collection, all highly covetable, but I picked 3 that I felt are more unique - Canotier, Espadrilles and Emeraude! They are bold choices, and exceptional for a classy and elegant brand, but inspired me to finally get out of my doldrums and create a cool colorblocked nail design.. check it out!

It seems like everybody’s zooming in on the Les Beiges powders, and understandably so, because every summer Chanel has been giving us really pretty face powders with a hint of all over glow. Whilst the Les Beiges powders have traditionally been exceptionally soft and smooth, and I have lots of friends who are big fans; I am quite happy to see something completely different this year. For Summer 2016, the Chanel Dans La Lumiere de L’Ete Collection has expanded the Les Beiges family to include 2 Healthy Glow Duos which are a contour/blush and blusher/highlighter respectively!
